Privacy Policy

Protecting the confidentiality of your personal information has always been an important part of the way we do business. To ensure that we protect your privacy, Telmetrics has adopted a Privacy Policy. This Policy sets out how and why we collect and use personal information about our industry associates.

Our Privacy Policy
On behalf of publishers and advertisers, we collect publicly available information from consumers who respond to certain “measured” advertisements. The publishers and advertisers use the information that we collect to better serve those consumers who respond to their advertising. We have always protected the confidentiality of the information that we collect and we have therefore formally adopted this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected and How we Use It
When a consumer calls an advertiser who has placed a measured telephone number in an advertisement, we collect the following information:

  • The date and time that the call was received;
  • The number of rings before the call was answered or terminated by the calling party;
  • The duration of the call;
  • The Calling Line Identification (“CLID”) where available.

If the CLID is presented, we may also have additional data purchased from reputable third party data append suppliers with the following information:

  • Name of subscriber;
  • Address of subscriber;
  • Whether the subscriber is on the “Do-Not-Call” registry.

We use all of the above information to provide reports to publishers and advertisers so that they may better understand the nature of consumers who respond to their advertising. The information may also be used to develop a better understanding of general trends within the industry.

Data Sharing and Transfer
We will not share, trade or sell our information for use by any business, other than the publisher or advertiser with whom we have contracted to collect the information. Telmetrics will use aggregated data to produce analytic reports that may be shared with others. No personal information is identifiable in these reports. We share certain information (for instance the CLID of the caller) with vendors, contractors or partners of Telmetrics in connection with services that these individuals or entities perform for or with Telmetrics. These vendors, contractors or partners are restricted from using this data in any way other than to provide services for Telmetrics, and they may not share or resell this data. The services they provide for Telmetrics include mailing reports, looking up name and address and “flagging” subscribers to the Do-Not-Call registry. Telmetrics also reserves the right to share the information to respond to duly authorized information requests of governmental authorities or where required by law.

Your Choice
Should a consumer not wish to disclose their telephone number, name or address to us, they may “opt-out” by using the privacy features made available by their local telephone service provider.

Data Security and Control
Telmetrics is committed to keeping the data we collect secure and will take reasonable precautions to protect the information from loss, misuse or alteration. Vendors, contractors, or partners of Telmetrics who have access to the information in connection with providing services for Telmetrics are required to keep the information confidential and are not permitted to use this information for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for Telmetrics.

Privacy Officer
We have designated a Privacy Officer who is responsible for our company’s compliance with our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions or inquiries about how information is collected or stored, or when it may need to be disclosed to others, our Privacy Officer is there to assist and explain our policies to you.
